01 · How it came to be, from the founder
One quote. One moment. A different life.
“I was a shy, naive, insecure kid trying to find my own path. I struggled through hard times. That's not uncommon. But how you come out of those times is what matters most.
One day, one event sparked a change in me. I was watching an old black-and-white movie on TV when I heard this:
“The reasonable person adapts to the world; the unreasonable person expects the world to adapt to them. Most of the progress in the world is made by unreasonable people.”
That was it. A passion was sparked that changed my life. I wrote the quote on a small piece of paper and kept it in my wallet. I started carrying a pen everywhere, writing down any quote, concept or idea with a powerful, positive message that immediately ‘impacted’ me.
That little piece of paper filled up over time. The manual was born out of the desire to always have it on hand, to re-energize and re-focus my mind, thoughts and actions to the positive places they belonged. That's how the Impact Motivation Manual was born.”
